M.Sc., B.A., MIACP

I am a fully qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, practicing since 1998. I am accredited with IACP.

I established my private practice here in Naas in 2006. As a counsellor / psychotherapist I work with individuals, both adolescents and adults. I have garda vetting clearance through IACP.

My areas of work include: relationship difficulties, stress & anxiety, bullying, self- esteem, depression, suicidal ideation, post-natal depression, sexuality, sexual trauma, loss & bereavement, fertility and parenting difficulties.

My clients come from all backgrounds and age groups including: adults, adolescents, schools, groups, parents, students, psychotherapists & counsellors in training.

Since 2001 I have run self-esteem programmes and counselling services for adolescents at post primary level. For 9 years I was with the Community Links Programme at DIT, for the past 7 years I have run the Bright Programme in Trinity Comprehensive Ballymun.

My degrees in psychology and post grad Dip Business are from UCD. In London I was awarded my Cert and Master’s degree at Birkbeck College, University of London in Psychodynamic Counselling. My theoretical orientation uses object relations theorists such as Winnicott, Klein, Freud and post Jungian analysts.

I have embarked on a new training in group psychotherapy at the School of Psychotherapy in St Vincents Hospital. I am developing support groups here at the centre. The themes of the support groups will vary depending on need. My current support group is suitable for adults who are impacted by any aspect of change in their lives, such as loss and the many ways we can be impacted by it. I have a separate section that gives more information about this group. I hold student membership with IGAS.

My professional indemnity insurance is with PPS.
